Understanding poverty as a multifaceted process and resulting from different dimensions, the one used to compose the index follows those coined by Alkire and Foster, which make it possible to create an MPI from different variables. The realization of this research recognizes, from the above perspective, the importance of studying poverty in non-metropolitan rich regions, as we understand that their forms of economic configuration differ from metropolitan areas and impoverished regions. “Knowing solutions. The methodological procedures adopted to carry out this research involved two premises.
